I'm going on a road trip! It's been well over 2 years since seeing any family and it's been a very long time since I've taken significant time off. So, we're heading out on a road trip in May! We're driving across the country and we are really excited.
I'm a little worried about taking so much time off from my work. The most I've ever really taken has been about 3 days... I used vacation mode in my Etsy shop for the first time just last year. To say I am a workaholic would be a understatement.
I have a plan in place, and so far it seems to be working. Mostly giving my shops, and social media platforms a heads up. So yes, if there's something you've had your eye on for a while, and you might like it before June, now is the time to place that order! I will be closing my shop up April 25th and I won't be returning until June 2nd, possibly later.
As nervous as I am about the possible pay cut for May, I am really looking forward to this break. It's been a very hectic few years. I am so happy that my shops grew so much, but the always going going going, combined with the pandemic, has left me very tired. I'm really hoping this break will allow me to come back with a lot of energy and new ideas.
I'm also excited to be seeing people other than my husband, for a change, as well as the country!! I've traveled from Portland to Michigan and back years ago. And when I was a kid we moved from Connecticut to California. So this won't be my first long distance trip, but it's been a long time.
So yes! Get those orders in now before I go!
